Frigiliana is situated in the extreme east of the province in an area called the Axarquia, just 6kms from the coast of Nerja. Frigiliana is in an elevated rural mountain position, about 320 metres above sea level yet with the magnificent coast only 5 minutes away by car.
Frigiliana is one of the most recognised and awarded villages in the Malaga province for its beauty. Its cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings being the main characteristics of this beautiful village. Its tranquil mountain position with the coast only a few minutes away makes it an ideal place to spend your holiday.
The climate offers temperatures in August of around 30ºC and a Winter where temperatures rarely drop below 10ºC.

How to get to Frigiliana
The access to Frigiliana is very easy:
Malaga capital has excellent transport infrastructure, the AVE (high speed train) to Madrid is now only 2.30hrs, if arriving from overseas there are hundreds of connections that arrive into Malaga Airport. From the airport to Frigiliana via the motorway is only 55kms, roughly 45 minutes by car.
From Granada or Almeria
Frigiliana´s privileged location together with excellent road links makes the capital of the Alhambra, (Granada) only 60 minutes away, nearly all by motorway. To Almeria is roughly the same, easily accessible in just over an hour and mainly via motorway.
Arriving to Cortijo La Viña
Cortijo la Viña is situated in the Frigiliana countryside, roughly 5 minutes from the village itself. Arriving to the villa from the village is very easy and is mainly secondary roads passing through the Natural Park area known as Tejeda, Alahama and Granada, the last part is via a perfectly made road/track.
